I listened to my housemate's TV - they were doing a whole thing about Steven Hawking. And how the universe is put together. I was traslating everything, in much more complicated terms. They mentioned CERN, and I said LHC - Large Hadron Collider. I just knew that. I've never seen a hadron, but I have been called an unidentified flying object.
I would like to say that puts me in space, but I would be wrong, not the space of science fiction, which I know an acceptable amount about. The kind the TV is trying to explain to my housemate is based on this fiction, always asking 'what if'. What if this or that was true.
It's not. At least not that in any way we can see or realize. However, the math tells us there is more. That I trust. Kindof like God, I don't understand all the math, but I do believe in it.
For one thing, it explains why the sky is blue, and why the snow is white.
That easy thing is difficult to understand. Math explains it.

I was walking down main street the other day, going to Hudson City Savings bank.
I met several people along the way, and one asked me for money. I had a pocket full of change, quarters mostly, and I gave her some. She said "Bless you" I said back to her "The universe will provide".
I had a thousand dollars in the other pocket.
I suppose one could say that is provision. A few quarters, a few thousand dollars... what is the difference after all. It's just a matter of scale.
We have been tryring to grapple with that, and it is one of those questions that we don't have answers for, well, not on the universal scale.
The physical, I think that's been conqured. We made big buildings. Universities. Banks. And homes. It took a lot of bloodletting to do all this stuff, but we kept putting one brick on top of another.
That's how it happened.

Some people say these things are complicated. I find them a lot less frustrating than computers. Sewing machines don't get viruses. That in itself is a good recommendation.
