If you want to take the artwork I produce for you, and have it printed at your favorite place, by all means do! It’s never been easier or cheaper to have any of these products below produced. And you will pay exactly what I pay too! But it’s nice to have a one-stop service provider that can take the entire job from concept to delivery. COPIES AND PRINTING
Copy center printing is just what it sounds like. I have a few places I like to go to because I know they produce excellent quality, and deliver on time. In fact, I have worked for a couple of them.
If you want anything under 1000 black and white copies (one or two sided) then a digital copier will do the trick. For two color, it is best to go with a printing press for even 100, because even though there are only two colors, on a color digital copier, it still counts as full color, and costs $69c per sheet, last time I checked.
For full color, anything under 250 should go to press. The turnaround time may be a bit longer, but you will save a lot of money.
For letterhead, envelopes, and forms (two or 3 part), two color is as many colors as you should use. For business cards, the full color market has made them extremely cost effective compared to only 10 years ago.

While most color copies are acceptable for most uses, the colors do tend to fade over time, especially if put in a well lit, or sunlit room. Photo quality printing provides extremely fine detail printing, especially in the very light nuanced colors, it is printed on non-acid paper so that it will physically hold up better over time, and can be UV Laminated to protect it even more from the sun.
It is probably the most expensive printing there is, so this is reserved for those one time special pictures that you will cherish for a long time, something you will want to frame, and keep in view. I can print up to 19 inches wide by 24 inches long from my office, services that go beyond that size for this particular quality will usually run over $100.... and yes, it’s WORTH EVERY PENNY if that is the quality you are looking for.

I love business cards. It is the art of brevity, catching attention, and explaining a whole concept in a 2 x 3 1/2 inch media. And there is so much that can be done within that little space. I have been making business cards since the mid 1980’s, and can help guide you from the utter utilitarian, to the ultra fancy.
As I mentioned before, full color business cards have come of age, and are now more the norm than the exception, so if you have a wild idea with vivid colors and splashy graphics, this is the way to go!

Catalogs are time consuming and expensive, especially for short runs of say 100 or so... until you hit about 10,000 expect to pay quite a bit, because there is a lot in putting them together. Often they are full color on both sides, folded, stapled, trimmed booklets, and if more than 4 pages need special machinery to put them together.
As an added benefit, I can repurpose the layout so it can be posted on a website so a viewer can print it out directly, or just browse it. I call this the ‘Eco-Catalog’ approach, and if you want to distribute your full catalog far and wide on a budget this is certainly the way to go. This is different from a standard webpage, since it is formatted to print EXACTLY as it is shown on screen, and can be downloaded, but not changed. I use the PDF or Portable Document Format to ensure that the original artwork, fonts, design are exactly duplicated.

All the work I do for you I give back on a CD or DVD. Of course, you can provide your own, but sometimes it takes two or three tries to burn something properly. If I provide it, the extra cost takes care of that.
